Accessible and Affordable Continuing Education

  • ASCLS's Annual Meeting and Laboratory Expo/Exhibits, along with Regional, State and Local Continuing Education events, provide opportunities for keeping current in all areas of laboratory practice.
  • ASCLS's Clinical Laboratory Educator's Conference, CLEC, is the premier annual meeting for Clinical Laboratory Science educators and is uniquely dedicated to the needs, issues, and concerns of educators at all Levels of Practice.
  • ASCLS-MS sponsors an Annual Meeting and local workshops and seminars, making continued education and development convenient, accessible, and affordable.
  • ASCLS, through it's Professional Acknowledgement for Continuing Education (P.A.C.E.) Program, assures that CE programs have met minimum standards and provides a convenient and affordable mechanism for recording and documenting continuing education attendance.
  • ASCLS has developed and published numerous Continuing Education programs in print, audio, and video formats that are available for purchase at discounted member rates.
  • ASCLS provides P.A.C.E. Approved Continuing Education opportunities through its "FOCUS" Section in Clinical Laboratory Science and its Advance "Learning Scope" series. Members can earn credits by reading the journal and magazine articles, completing a multiple-choice exam that follows the article(s), and sending it to ASCLS for a minimal fee. A certificate is awarded and sent to participants who receive a minimum score of 70%.
  • ASCLS's Virtual Library offers online audio and video presentations of speakers at both the ASCLS and CLEC meetings, allowing all members to benefit from the educational programs, whether or not they were able to attend.
